Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar
Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy
Add flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture
Mix until a dough forms
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size
Preheat your oven to 475F 245C
Punch down the risen dough and divide it into desired portions for your pizzas
Roll out each portion into a pizza crust of your preferred thickness
Transfer the pizza crust to a baking sheet or pizza stone, add your favorite toppings, and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the toppings are bubbly
Slice, serve, and enjoy your homemade pizza
