Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt
Set aside
In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined
Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated
Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts, distributing them evenly throughout the dough
Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between each cookie
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are golden brown
Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
Once cooled, store the cookies in an airtight container to maintain their freshness
